Why New Features of iOS 10.3 Is Considered As a Beginning

Apple finally launched the iOS 10.3 for the masses after 7 beta releases. The great news is that after installing this updated on their iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, users have noticed their device working faster and more responsive. With the launch of this new version, Apple has also bid farewell to its 19-year-old HFS+, which was based on 32-year-old HFS and replaced it with Apple File System (APFS). The latest inclusion not only saves the space but also optimize it for solid state drives (SSDs).

These are some of the new features listed below that make iOS 10.3 futuristic:

AirPods Finding:

This feature comes activated in the new OS. Apple introduces new Find my AirPods feature. When we forget AirPods, lost, dropped one/both of them somewhere. Simply go to the feature Find my iPhone app and you can notice the new icon for AirPods. If AirPods are connected to the device via Bluetooth, the feature will play a high pitched sound that will help you find them. If not, the map will show you the last location where it was connected to the device.

Updation of Siri:

This is especially for the users who are most interested in watching cricket. This newly updated Siri understands that Cricket is a famous sport, played in different countries across the globe. Siri can say you the scores for cricket matches and can also pull in scores for the world cup and champions trophy. And also the AI assistant will help in booking Uber trips hours in advance and in paying bills.

Updated App Store and App Icons:

This feature makes developers happy because in this updated App Store it allows you to rate the apps you are using. Developers can now ask users to write a review without switching to the App Store and developers will also be allowed to respond to those reviews, making the entire arena more like a forum. This will help developers to understand the positive and negative aspects of user experience and subsequently can work to better it.

The customized app icons allow developers to change the app icons without updating the app. This can ensure that the feature will not be misused, having certain limitations to the feature.

User Interface:

When you close your app then you get the rounded corner at the edges. This change is good that the animation goes quite well with the rounded corners of the app icons. And also replaced the dashes by circles which can be noticed while entering the passcode. And you can also be noticed in the form of up/down arrows for switching emails in the mail app.

Apple ID Profile:

As soon as you reach the settings page, you can notice a new section featuring your photo and name. This is housed with all the important information linked with your devices like Apple ID, iTunes and iCloud information, and the App store settings. And also this feature allows you to update your payment information, set up family sharing, check iCloud storage, and to check the devices that are linked with your Apple ID.

Safari and iCloud improved:

This new version can use in any iCloud-connected device to answer Wi-Fi calls. Before it was available only for Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T customers. Now users can enable by choosing the phone tab to the settings page and enable Wi-Fi calling. And you can check your iCloud storage easily through a breakdown by going to iCloud settings.

Hourly weather forecast:

This new feature will help you to plan travelling accordingly and avoid unexpected and unfavourable weather conditions. For this you need to do is to use the Touch ID on weather icon to the right of the screen, and there you are with the details of coming six hours. This new feature works with enabling the maps app that you can have details about the upcoming weather conditions.

iOS 10.3 is really a great updated feature that Apple is well acquainted with the ways to attract and engage users at the right time. With the list of new features for developers and users, we look ahead to have future updates from the house of Apple.
